The Meinl Sonic Energy Steel Tongue Drum delivers the harmonic resonance of a handpan in a compact, accessible format. Tuned to A Minor across eight notes (A3, C4, D4, E4, G4, A4, C5, D5), this 30.48 cm instrument features coated stainless steel construction with a vintage brown finish. Each of the eight tongues comprises two reeds that produce tones in two octaves, creating a rich, layered response whether played with hands or the included rubber mallets.

The drum's magnetic design centres around a bass note surrounded by seven additional tongues, all tuned to A4/a' 440 Hz standard pitch. Coated stainless steel construction ensures durability and consistent tonal response across the full A Minor scale. The 12–inch diameter provides substantial resonance while remaining portable, and the included padded bag protects the instrument during transport.
