Meinl Sonic Energy Solid Kalimba C Major 17-Notes (Maple)

The Meinl Sonic Energy Solid Kalimba delivers 17 notes tuned to the C Major scale, making it an accessible melodic instrument for sound therapy, meditation, and creative music-making. Constructed from high-quality maple wood with a high-gloss finish, this thumb piano produces warm, resonant tones through its precisely mounted metal reeds. The ergonomic design allows comfortable playability across all experience levels, while the C Major tuning – spanning d'', b', g', e', c', a, f, d, c, e, g, b, d', f', a', c'', e'' – enables instant melodic exploration.

Weighing just 431 grams, the KL1704S combines portability with rich acoustic character. The maple body provides natural resonance and harmonic depth, enhanced by the instrument's high-gloss protective finish. Each kalimba ships with a protective hard case to prevent scratches and damage during transport, plus a linen storage bag for dust-free keeping. A microfiber cloth maintains the glossy surface, while the included tuning hammer allows precise adjustment of the metal reeds. This ancient African instrument – also known as mbira, sansa, or thumb piano – uses plucked metal tines to generate its distinctive metallic shimmer.
