Meinl Sonic Energy Origin Series Metal Singing Bowl Set 600/700/900g

The Meinl Sonic Energy Origin Series Metal Singing Bowl Set brings three handcrafted bronze bowls together for sound therapy, meditation, and energy work. Each bowl – weighing 600g, 700g, and 900g – is forged from a special bronze alloy in India, left with an untreated surface that retains the raw character of the metal. The set includes matching covers, felt rings, and a large mallet with a small felt tip for coaxing out the layered overtones these bowls are known for.

The bowls measure 13cm, 14cm, and 17cm in diameter respectively, offering distinct fundamental tones that complement one another when played in sequence or simultaneously. When struck softly, the bronze alloy generates multi–layered overtones that sustain for over a minute, with vibrations that continue well after the initial attack fades. The untreated finish connects players directly to the elemental properties of the metal, producing a rich harmonic spectrum that evolves as the sound decays. Each bowl sits securely on its included felt ring during play.

The extended resonance and complex overtone structure make this set effective for creating immersive sound environments in therapeutic and meditative settings. The three weights provide tonal variety without requiring multiple standalone purchases, and the included mallet is voiced specifically to draw out the singing quality of the bronze without excessive attack noise. The engraved logo identifies each piece as part of the Origin Series, distinguished by its raw, unfinished aesthetic and emphasis on sustained harmonic content over immediate percussive impact.
