Meinl Sonic Energy 3.7" Cosmos Therapy Series Metal Singing Bowl 250G

The Meinl Sonic Energy 3.7" Cosmos Therapy Series Metal Singing Bowl is a handcrafted 250g instrument built in India from a proprietary cast alloy designed to produce deep, sustained tones for meditation and sound therapy. The bellied profile is shaped through additional hammering, creating a resonant chamber that generates multi–layered overtones above a rich fundamental tone. At 9.5cm in diameter, the bowl weighs precisely 250 grams and ships with a corresponding cover and felt ring for stability during playing and storage.

The special cast alloy construction delivers extended sustain that continues to reverberate more than a minute after initial excitation, whether gently tapped or rubbed with a mallet. When activated, cascading overtones emerge above the fundamental frequency, filling the room with ambient sound layers that resonate through the body. The bellied design amplifies this effect, producing tonal depth that extends far beyond the instrument's compact 9.5cm footprint. An engraved logo marks the authentic Cosmos Therapy Series designation on the bowl's exterior surface.

This singing bowl responds to both striking and friction–based playing techniques, making it effective for yoga sessions, sound therapy applications, and creating calming atmospheres in treatment rooms or personal meditation spaces. The included felt ring prevents surface contact and unwanted vibration dampening during sustained play. The accompanying cover protects the bowl between sessions while maintaining portability for practitioners working across multiple locations or studio environments.
