Meinl Pure Alloy 12" Trash China Cymbal

The Meinl Pure Alloy 12" Trash China is a compact, heavily perforated cymbal designed for drummers chasing crisp, defined attack in tight spaces. Handcrafted in Germany using B8 bronze alloy, this cymbal delivers a fast articulation that cuts through dense mixes without demanding real estate on the kit. The strategic hole pattern reduces mass whilst maintaining harmonic balance, making it equally suited to studio work and live settings.

At 12 inches, the Trash China occupies the space between traditional crash–rides and effect cymbals. The hammered surface contours produce brightness and projection despite the compact diameter. Multiple perforations throughout the body accelerate decay and thin the tone, yielding a sound that's percussive and tight rather than washy. The design works well as a secondary china or as an auxiliary accent cymbal for players building layered, textured setups.
