Meinl Classics Custom Extreme Metal 18" Crash Cymbal

Meinl's Classics Custom Extreme Metal 18" crash delivers a remarkably strong attack with a cutting, metallic character built for maximum cut and projection. Cast from B12 bronze alloy and refined through high-tech computerised manufacturing, this cymbal produces a short sustain and powerful, resilient response. The aggressive voice cuts through dense mixes and live applications where clarity demands precedence over wash.

At 18 inches, this crash occupies the sweet spot between portability and projection, offering enough mass to sustain under hard hitting while remaining responsive to nuanced dynamics. The B12 bronze composition provides the structural density needed for extreme metal applications, where cymbal failure isn't an option. Meinl's manufacturing precision ensures consistent tonality and predictable response across the playing surface, whether deployed as a crash, crash–ride, or rhythmic accent instrument in aggressive genres.

The short sustain characteristic makes this cymbal especially valuable in fast–paced musical contexts where rapid cymbal articulation is required. Drummers in metal, hardcore, and high–intensity genres will find the extreme metal voicing cuts through distorted guitars and compressed drums without disappearing into the mix. The bright, cutting finish adds visual presence to any kit setup.
