Meinl Byzance Traditional 20inch Extra Thin Hammered Crash Cymbal

The Meinl 20" Byzance Traditional Extra Thin Hammered Crash Cymbal redefines what brilliant can sound like, combining visual shine with unexpectedly dark tonal characteristics. This unique cymbal takes the traditional Byzance foundation and creates a darker sonic profile through a specialised finishing process that deliberately limits the high–end frequencies whilst achieving that distinctive brilliant appearance.

The extra thin hammered construction allows this crash to shimmer with remarkable warmth, creating a sound that spreads beautifully across the mix. Unlike heavier models that cut through with direct penetration, this thinner variant offers a more nuanced approach with its warm, enveloping presence.

The marriage of dark tonality and warm spread makes this Byzance Brilliant cymbal particularly versatile across multiple musical styles. From funk and fusion through to rock applications, its unique sonic character provides drummers with a crash that stands apart from conventional bright, cutting cymbals.
