Meinl Byzance Traditional 20" Medium Ride Cymbal

The Meinl Byzance Traditional 20" Medium Ride delivers a balanced stick response with a defined ping and warm basic tone. Hand-hammered B20 Bronze construction ensures each cymbal carries its own sonic character, combining bright overtones with medium sustain and a fully voiced bell. This is a workhorse ride for drummers seeking classical Turkish cymbal tradition without sacrificing modern playability across genres.

The 20" size sits at the sweet spot between projection and control, offering medium weight for responsive playing and clean definition in live and studio settings. Hand-hammering process creates micro-variations in thickness and density across the cymbal surface, generating the characteristic complexity and depth that distinguishes Byzance cymbals from machine-produced alternatives. The blend of bright overtones with a warm fundamental makes it equally at home in rock, jazz, fusion, and touring situations where a single ride needs to cover substantial sonic ground.
