Meinl Byzance 18 Inch Dual Trash China Cymbal

The Meinl Byzance 18" Dual Trash China Cymbal stands as a masterfully engineered percussion instrument that brings explosive accents without overwhelming your mix. Hand–hammered from premium B20 bronze and featuring strategically placed cut–outs, this cymbal produces a fast, aggressive attack with rapid decay that keeps your playing crisp and defined. Its trashy tonality and short sustain make it an ideal choice for adding texture and energetic bursts to your drumming.

The dual–finish design creates a fascinating sonic complexity through its raw, unlathed centre paired with a brilliantly polished edge. This combination produces a dry, focused attack from the centre while the outer edge contributes sizzling overtones and warmth. The result is a cymbal that offers both aggression and musicality, perfect for gospel, fusion, jazz, and modern studio applications where clarity in fast–paced playing is essential.

With its thin weight and low–mid pitch, this Turkish–made cymbal provides a complex, full–bodied character that remains sensitive and smooth across various musical styles including funk, pop, and R&B. The medium to short sustain ensures your accents cut through without muddying the overall sound, making it an excellent addition for drummers seeking dynamic expression in their playing.
