Meinl 18" Byzance Extra Dry Dual Crash Cymbal

Meinl's 18" Byzance Extra Dry Dual Crash pairs hand–hammered B20 bronze construction with a striking contrast between extra dry and brilliant finishes. The dual playing zones let drummers transition seamlessly from riding to crashing, while the thin profile opens up easily for trashy, cutting accents. This cymbal rewards dynamic playing across rock, jazz, and fusion applications.

Hand–hammered from B20 bronze sheet, the 18" diameter delivers focused stick definition without sacrificing wash. The combination of hammering and lathing techniques creates the signature tonal split–extra dry fundamentals sit alongside bright high–end shimmer. Two distinct playing zones mean the top section handles rides with clarity, whilst the bell crashes with snap and projection. Made in Turkey to Meinl's exacting standards.

Players after character and response will find this cymbal cuts through dense band mixes whilst remaining expressive at lower volumes. The extra dry character suits genres where definition matters–hard rock, metal, and tight jazz groups all benefit from its cut without harshness. Thin construction keeps weight manageable for touring and session work.
