The SRS70C-12 represents Maton's commitment to excellence in 12-string acoustic guitar craftsmanship, combining premium all-solid timber construction with cutting-edge pickup technology. This dreadnought cutaway features an A Grade Spruce top paired with stunning Blackwood back and sides, whilst the integrated AP5 PRO Pickup System provides professional-grade amplification capabilities for stage and studio applications.
Launched in June 2011, the SRS series marked a pivotal moment for Maton, introducing a comprehensive redesign that embraced all solid timber construction throughout the entire range. The development process involved years of meticulous refinement by Maton's senior luthiers and production designers, resulting in reimagined bracing patterns, radius tops, and enhanced body construction techniques that set new standards for the brand.
Traditional craftsmanship remains at the heart of every instrument, with the renowned dovetail neck joint - typically reserved for the finest guitars - featured as standard across all Maton models. The SRS70C-12 showcases a Queensland Maple neck, Streaky Ebony fingerboard and bridge, plus quality appointments including Chrome Grover Rotomatic machine heads and bone nut and saddle. Each guitar is handcrafted in Melbourne, Australia, and comes complete with a Maton Standard Hardcase.
