With the introduction of the Redwood Series, Maton has found a new voice in the world of acoustic guitars. The pairing of a plantation–grown Redwood (Sequoia sempervirens) soundboard and Tasmanian Myrtle (Nothofagus cunninghamii) back and sides delivers a nuanced, expressive response with impressive acoustic headroom in a compact 808 body.

Tonally, Redwood can be compared to Western Red Cedar, but with a stronger treble presence and more dynamic snap. Tasmanian Myrtle adds smooth, Maple–like clarity with a touch of warmth and sustain. Together, they create a complex blend of overtones that rewards subtle variations in technique and invites long sessions of inspired play.

Balanced, responsive and highly playable, this 808 suits fingerstyle, light flatpicking and recording where articulation matters. Maton's scalloped X bracing, Queensland Maple neck and streaky Ebony fingerboard provide stability and feel, while the AP5 Pro system ensures a natural amplified tone on stage. It's a guitar that's hard to put down.
