Maton EBG808 TSB w/ AP5 Pro Pickup (Satin Tobacco Sunburst)

The Maton EBG808 TSB represents decades of Australian lutherie refinement in a mid-sized orchestra body with genuine warmth and responsiveness. Built around Maton's signature 808 body shape, this guitar pairs AA-grade Sitka spruce with Blackwood back and sides for a balanced tonal palette that suits fingerstyle and strumming equally. The factory-fitted AP5 Pro pickup system ensures the acoustic character translates faithfully through an amplifier or mixing desk, while the Satin Tobacco Sunburst finish brings classic visual appeal without the gloss.

Inside, scalloped X-bracing allows the top to move freely, generating complex harmonic content and strong projection from the 95mm soundhole. The 64.77cm scale length and 304.8mm fingerboard radius sit comfortably under the fingers, with a 44.1mm nut width tapering to 55mm at the 14th fret. Twenty-one Dunlop 6260 frets run across an Indian rosewood fingerboard inlaid with 6mm pearl dots, matched to a rosewood bridge fitted with bone saddle and Ivory ABS bridge pins. Chrome Grover Rotomatic tuners hold Elixir Nanoweb Phosphor Bronze strings (12–53 gauge) reliably in tune, and the guitar ships in a standard Maton hardcase.
