The Mapex Mars Birch is a 5–piece shell pack engineered for drummers seeking articulate, responsive tone and streamlined hardware. Built around 100% birch 6–ply shells at 7.2mm thickness, the Mars Birch delivers focused projection and clarity across the kit–punchy brightness in the rack toms (10” and 12”) paired with strong fundamental support in the bass drum and floor tom (16”). Mapex's SONIClear™ Bearing Edge technology flattens the drumhead seat for deeper pitch, effortless tuning, and expanded range.

The shell pack includes a matching snare drum (5.5”) and chrome hardware throughout. Rack toms benefit from the SONIClear™ Suspension System inherited from the Saturn Series–a vibration–preserving design that increases resonance by isolating the shell from hardware energy transfer. The bass drum (22”) uses insulated claws with rubber gaskets to eliminate rattle and protect the hoop under extended play. Tom mounting arrives as standard: bass drum–mounted holders on larger configurations or a single tom arm for cymbal stand attachment on smaller packs. Diamond Sparkle finish provides a cohesive, polished appearance across all components.
