Mapex Design Lab Cherry Bomb 14x6 Inch Snare Drum

The Mapex Design Lab Cherry Bomb 14x6 Inch Snare Drum reimagines the legendary Black Panther model with a medium–thick Cherrywood shell that absorbs higher overtones for a warm, focused tone with punchy backbeat. This standout percussion piece combines vintage character with modern precision, featuring an 8–ply 9mm Cherry shell with dual air vents. The soft density of the Cherrywood creates that pre–EQ'd sound with strong low–end response and enhanced attack, making it perfect for classic and alt–rock styles.

The Natural Satin SAS Finish showcases the beautiful wood character while allowing full shell vibration through its low–mass application, ensuring sustained sound that thicker finishes simply can't match. The SONIClear™ Attenuation System includes 45° bearing edges on both batter and snare sides with ⅛" rounded back–cuts, plus 2.7mm deep x 5½" width tapered snare beds for optimal drumhead contact and expanded tuning range.

Premium hardware includes Sonic Saver™ 10–lug hoops with high–gloss chrome finish, Black Panther single–screw lugs, and Puresound® Custom Series 16–strand stainless steel coils with copper end–plates for balanced snare response. The cylinder–drive strainer features self–lubricating bearing for smooth operation, while the micro–lock adjustment dial maintains secure positioning during performance. Complete with Remo® Coated Ambassador X batter and Remo® Clear Ambassador snare side drumheads, this snare offers both classic charm and cutting–edge design.
