Mano Percussion Congas w/ Stands (Sunburst) MP1601BSSB

The Mano Percussion MP1601BSSB is a two-conga set pairing 10-inch and 11-inch shells with matched basket stands. Built on quality-selected wood with natural rawhide tucked heads, these instruments deliver the warm, full-bodied response and articulate slap attack that define traditional Latin percussion. The curved black comfort-rim design and five chrome tuning rods per drum allow precise pitch adjustment across a wide tonal range.

Construction emphasises durability and aesthetic refinement. Each shell features a carved decorative ring at the crown and protective rubber base ring, finished in high-gloss Sunburst lacquer. The metal rims combine with natural rawhide heads to produce punchy attack while maintaining resonance in the fundamental frequencies. The included double-braced stand accommodates both drums with height adjustment, simplifying setup and providing stable isolation from vibration transmission through the floor.

This configuration suits percussionists working in world music, jazz, and studio contexts where authentic conga response matters. The matched pair allows two-drum call-and-response playing whilst the adjustable stand keeps instruments ergonomically accessible during extended sessions. Natural skin heads require periodic attention to humidity and tension, but reward that care with tonal depth that synthetic alternatives cannot match.
