Mackie 16-channel Compact 4-bus Mixer

Built to withstand decades of professional use, the Mackie VLZ4 16-channel mixer brings together the legendary Onyx mic preamps with the rugged "Built-Like-A-Tank" construction that established Mackie as an industry leader over 25 years ago. This comprehensive mixing solution features 10 boutique-quality Onyx mic preamps with an ultra-wide 60dB gain range and exceptional 128.5 dB dynamic range, ensuring pristine audio quality from every input to every output.

The VLZ4's professional specifications include distortion under 0.0007% across the 20Hz-50kHz frequency range, +22 dBu line input handling, and improved RF rejection that makes it ideal for broadcast applications. Each of the 16 channels offers high-headroom line inputs with +4/-10 operation control, 3-band EQ (80Hz, 2.5kHz, 12kHz), and an 18 dB/oct 75Hz low-cut filter on mic channels, while phantom power supports studio condenser microphones.

Routing flexibility comes via 4 aux sends with level, pan and PFL solo on each channel, plus 4 stereo returns for connecting effects processors or other stereo sources. The ALT 3/4 stereo bus adds further routing options, while the control room/phones source matrix and high-resolution 12-segment stereo meters provide comprehensive monitoring capabilities. Long-wearing 60mm log-taper faders and sealed rotary controls resist dust and grime for reliable operation.

The rugged steel chassis features a powder-coat finish and high-visibility, high-contrast controls for convenient visual feedback in any lighting condition. With rack-mountable design using an optional rack ear kit and multi-voltage power supply for worldwide compatibility, the VLZ4 continues Mackie's tradition of professional-quality construction and performance.
