Mackie 1402VLZ4 14-channel Compact Mixer

Built to withstand decades of professional use, the Mackie VLZ4 14-channel mixer brings together the legendary Onyx mic preamps with the rugged "Built-Like-A-Tank" construction that established Mackie as an industry leader over 25 years ago. This comprehensive mixing solution features six boutique-quality Onyx mic preamps with an ultra-wide 60dB gain range and exceptional 128.5 dB dynamic range, ensuring pristine audio quality from every input to every output.

The mixer's professional-grade specifications include +22 dBu line input handling, extended frequency response, and remarkably low distortion under 0.0007% across the 20Hz-50kHz spectrum. Enhanced RF rejection makes it particularly suitable for broadcast applications, while phantom power support accommodates condenser microphones. Each of the 14 high-headroom line inputs offers +4/-10 operation control, complemented by a 3-band EQ (80Hz, 2.5kHz, 12kHz) and an 18 dB/oct 75Hz low-cut filter on mic channels.

Operational flexibility comes through two aux sends, level and pan controls, plus PFL solo functionality on each channel, alongside 60mm long-wearing log-taper faders for precise control. The unit includes two stereo returns for connecting effects processors, an ALT 3/4 stereo bus for additional routing options, and a control room/phones source matrix. High-resolution 12-segment stereo meters provide clear visual feedback, while sealed rotary controls resist dust and grime in demanding environments.

The rugged steel chassis features a powder-coat finish and high-visibility controls for convenient at-a-glance operation. Optional rack ear mounting and a multi-voltage power supply ensure worldwide compatibility, making this mixer suitable for both permanent installations and mobile applications where reliability is paramount.
