The Hammer 88 brings authentic grand piano touch to your digital music setup with 88 fully-weighted, velocity-sensitive keys that capture every nuance of your playing style. This premium keyboard controller features genuine hammer-action mechanics designed for professional musicians, semi-professional players, and dedicated students who demand realistic piano feel when working with virtual instruments and sound modules. The weighted keys provide the traditional grand piano response that serious performers expect, while seamlessly integrating with modern digital music production workflows.
Performance control sits at the core of the Hammer 88’s design, with thoughtfully positioned controls that enhance musical expression. The unity-locking pitch wheel and separate modulation wheel allow for portamento and glissando effects, while the dedicated Master Volume Fader provides instant intensity control or can be MIDI-mapped to compatible DAW parameters. Assignable Up and Down buttons handle program selection, effects switching, and octave jumping, while three pedal inputs accommodate Sustain, Expression, and Soft pedals for comprehensive performance articulation.
Studio integration extends beyond computer-based instruments through the conveniently-located 5-pin MIDI Output, enabling direct control of hardware synthesisers, sound modules, and drum machines. The controller maintains USB-powered, class-compliant operation for hassle-free setup, with USB-MIDI connectivity ensuring rapid integration with your existing setup. iOS compatibility through the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit (sold separately) opens up mobile music creation possibilities with audio apps on iPad and other iOS devices.
The complete package includes Ableton Live Lite, Mini Grand, Velvet, DB33, Touch Loops, and MPC Beats with TubeSynth, Electric, and Bassline virtual instruments. Additional software comprises 80 FX plugins including AIR Channel Strip and Half Time, plus 2GB of factory content with bonus F9 instruments library, providing immediate creative resources straight out of the box.
