Ludwig Universal 6.5 x 14 Inch Snare Drum - Beech

The Ludwig Universal 6.5 x 14 Inch Snare Drum with Beech Finish stands as a testament to versatile percussion craftsmanship that adapts to any musical setting. This all‐new snare drum features a 6‐ply beech shell construction measuring 6.5 inches deep by 14 inches across, providing an ideal balance of projection and tone that cuts through any mix. The sapele outer ply finish gives the drum a sharp, professional appearance complemented by triple‐flanged hoops and classic 45° bearing edges.

The Universal’s exceptional sound quality stems from its beechwood shell construction, which offers a time‐tested drum tone emphasising powerful bass frequencies alongside coveted trebles and middles. This 6‐ply shell resonates across genres, adapting to virtually any playing style with a hybrid character that combines the brightness of maple with the low‐end support of birch. The result is a drum ready to be tone‐shaped and tuned to suit your specific requirements.

Practical functionality comes courtesy of the P88i throw off and P35 butt plate combination, providing tremendous tension‐adjustment security for your snare wires. This hardware pairing allows precise control over snare response, making it suitable for drummers of all ages, skill levels, and musical styles seeking a reliable, versatile snare drum solution.
