This hammered and polished copper shell instrument represents the next evolution in Ludwig’s renowned tone palette, offering musicians a distinctive voice that combines high–volume projection with focused, dark–low tonal characteristics.

The Copperphonic features a 1.2mm seamless copper shell construction that forms the foundation of its exceptional sound quality. Paired with 2.3mm steel triple flanged hoops (with optional die–cast available), the drum maintains structural integrity while allowing the copper’s natural resonance to shine through. The 10–lug configuration ensures even tension distribution across the playing surface.

Professional–grade hardware includes the P85AC throw off and P35AC butt plate, both production–standard components that guarantee reliable performance. Ludwig completes the package with their Weather Master medium coated batter head and clear snare side head, providing an optimal balance straight from the factory.
