This iconic drum features a seamless beaded shell constructed from a single sheet of brass that’s machine drawn using a truly unique and difficult manufacturing process, resulting in extremely limited availability each year from Ludwig USA.

The Black Beauty’s premium construction includes a 1.2mm seamless brass shell with black nickel plating, paired with robust 2.3mm steel triple flanged hoops and 10 precision lugs. The drum comes equipped with P85AC Throw Off and P35AC Butt Plate production components, while Ludwig Weather Master heads — a medium coated batter head and clear snare side head — complete this professional–grade instrument.

Due to the complex manufacturing requirements and meticulous attention to detail, only a very limited number of these exceptional snare drums are produced annually, making each Black Beauty a prized addition to any drummer’s arsenal.
