Professional guitarists using digital modellers now have a purpose-built amplification solution that bridges the gap between studio-quality presets and live performance. The Powercab® 212 Plus active stereo guitar speaker system offers two distinct operational modes to suit different playing preferences and requirements.
For musicians who are satisfied with their modeller's built-in cabinet simulations, the Flat (FRFR) mode provides transparent amplification that faithfully reproduces your presets without additional colouration. Simply connect your modeller and play through a clean, unprocessed signal path that maintains the integrity of your carefully crafted tones.
The Speaker Modeling mode unlocks 12 proprietary onboard speaker models that differ from traditional cabinet models or impulse responses, creating a more natural "amp-in-the-room" feel. These modelled speakers span from vintage classics like "Greenback" and "Blue Bell" through to contemporary designs, with the flexibility to mix and match configurations. The stereo architecture ensures ping-pong delays, expansive reverbs, and dual-amp setups are reproduced with proper spatial imaging.
Built into a lightweight yet durable plywood cabinet with flip-out kickstands, the unit features a 2-inch LCD display, 128 user preset locations, XLR direct outputs, MIDI In/Out, AES/EBU and L6 LINK™ connectivity, plus a versatile second input and USB audio interface. Third-party impulse responses can be loaded and stored within individual presets for additional tonal flexibility.
