This amplifier features 12 Amp Voicings sourced from the acclaimed Helix® platform, spanning everything from crystal-clear clean tones to crushing high-gain sounds, with each voicing paired to a custom Boost type for enhanced tonal shaping.
Beyond its core amplification, the CX 60 includes 24 HX®-quality effects across four distinct categories, providing studio-grade processing power in a compact package. The amplifier’s comprehensive connectivity includes XLR line output for direct recording or PA connection, an effects loop for external pedals, and a Power Amp input that transforms the unit into a powered monitor speaker when needed.
Modern functionality extends to MIDI control, a built-in 2-channel USB recording interface, and the free Catalyst Edit app available for both desktop and mobile platforms, allowing detailed parameter adjustment and preset management. Optional accessories include the LFS2 footswitch for hands-free control and a protective cover, while the broader Catalyst CX range scales from this 60-watt model perfect for home studios and smaller venues, up to the 200-watt CX 200 designed for larger performance spaces.
