The Lehle Stereo Volume replaces conventional potentiometer–based volume pedals with a magnetic Hall sensor and premium Blackmer® VCA architecture, delivering wear–free operation and exceptional signal integrity. The German–made Hall sensor measures magnetic field strength as the pedal moves an internal magnet, sending a control voltage to the US–manufactured stereo VCA rather than relying on mechanical resistance. This approach eliminates potentiometer noise, maintains consistent input and output impedance across the entire sweep, and preserves the full frequency spectrum of the connected instrument without the treble roll–off typical of traditional designs.
The pedal operates on an internal 18V supply, achieved through rectification, filtering, stabilisation and voltage doubling from the external power input, yielding a total dynamic range of 110 dB. Volume control spans –92 dB to 0 dB, from near–silent attenuation to unity gain. Low–friction high–performance polymer bearings ensure smooth, consistent travel, with pedal tension adjustable via an internal screw. Dual inputs and outputs enable signal splitting from mono to stereo or summing from stereo to mono, with both balanced TRS and unbalanced TS connectivity supporting studio or front–of–house applications including effects send control and signal bus management.
