The Lehle Mono Volume replaces the traditional potentiometer with a wear-free magnetic Hall sensor and a premium Blackmer® VCA from the United States. The German-made Hall sensor measures magnetic field strength as the pedal moves a magnet, generating a control voltage that drives the voltage-controlled amplifier. This eliminates potentiometer noise, friction wear, and the frequency roll-off that plagues conventional volume pedals. The pedal's internal power supply rectifies, filters, stabilises and doubles incoming voltage to 18V, delivering 110 dB of dynamic range across the entire sweep.
Volume control spans –92 dB to 0 dB, with an additional rotary potentiometer offering up to +10 dB of boost when needed. Input and output impedance remain constant throughout the taper, preserving the full frequency spectrum without high-end damping. Low-friction high-performance polymer bearings ensure smooth pedal action with no mechanical linkage to internal components, and an adjusting screw allows precise calibration of pedal tension. A buffered direct output feeds tuners, DAWs or secondary amplifiers without loading the main signal path or compromising tone.
