LD Systems has engineered the U500® wireless conference system in Germany to provide professional-grade communication solutions that combine advanced UHF technology with elegant design. This True Diversity system operates across 60 channels in 6 groups, making installations straightforward whilst ensuring conferences, meetings and round tables run smoothly with exceptional speech clarity.

Each terminal incorporates a gooseneck condenser microphone with cardioid pickup pattern and status-indicating light ring. The robust table stand includes XLR microphone input with 28V phantom power, on-off-mute switching, gain control and selectable 130Hz high-pass filter that effectively minimises proximity effects and structural noise. A high-contrast OLED display presents essential information including radio frequency, battery status, terminal number, group and channel settings, with audio transmission spanning 60Hz to 16kHz.

The 4-channel receiver simplifies setup through automatic frequency and channel scanning, infrared synchronisation capabilities, digital encoder and direct channel access buttons. Its comprehensive OLED display monitors all functions including audio and RF signal strength, priority settings and terminal battery status. Configurable simultaneous microphone limits prevent crosstalk, feedback and comb filtering issues, whilst selectable automatic or manual gate settings with pilot tone ensure superior sound quality and noise immunity.

Beyond individual channel outputs, the receiver provides master output, access lock security and RS-232 interface for external control system integration. System expansion allows up to five U500® receivers to operate in cascaded master-slave configuration, supporting a maximum of 20 terminals for larger installations.
