LD Systems CURV 500 ES Portable Column PA System

The CURV 500® Entertainer Set brings professional-grade sound reinforcement to intimate venues with its innovative array design and powerful 460-watt RMS amplification. This comprehensive system combines a high-performance 10" bass reflex subwoofer with four interlocking satellites, achieving an impressive maximum sound pressure level of 128 dB that makes it perfectly suited for small events, conferences, and meetings.

At the heart of this compact system lies LD Systems’ proprietary WaveAhead® technology, housed within remarkably small 12 x 12 cm satellite elements. Each satellite features one 4" driver paired with three 1" drivers, working together through SmartLink® adaptors to produce coherent, detailed playback with exceptional pressure and dynamics. The transport-friendly design ensures easy setup and portability without compromising on professional performance standards.

The 10" bass-reflex subwoofer serves as the system’s control centre, housing a Class D power amplifier alongside comprehensive protection circuitry including limiters and safeguards against short circuit, overheating, and over-voltage. A built-in 4-channel mixer provides 16 digital effect presets and Bluetooth® connectivity, while combo and Speakon-compatible sockets offer extensive connection options. Additional features include four digital system presets, an M20 threaded flange, and three ergonomic carrying handles.

Versatility remains a key strength of the Entertainer Set, with stereo operation possible using up to eight array satellites (maximum four per side) — particularly valuable for voice applications where clarity and transparency take precedence over heavy bass reproduction. The system can be expanded with the Power Extension set for enhanced performance, especially in the low-frequency range. The complete package includes the subwoofer with mixer unit, four satellites, SmartLink® adaptors, distance bar, and all necessary speaker cables.
