The Atlantis redefines versatility by housing three distinct FET microphones within a single, hand-finished brass enclosure. Developed in collaboration with renowned Producer and Mix Engineer Fab Dupont, this Silicon Valley-designed condenser offers three separate signal paths that can be selected at the flip of a switch. The Gentle setting provides warmth with a vintage character, perfect for taming harsh sources, while the Neutral selection delivers balanced, classy tones with smooth highs ideal for acoustic instruments. The Forward setting brings bold, modern presence without harshness — capturing the quintessential sound of contemporary Pop, Hip-Hop, and R&B.

At the heart of the Atlantis lies Lauten’s precision-crafted 38mm capsule, one of the largest in the world. This super-transducer is designed in Silicon Valley and hand-tuned to capture performances with remarkable authenticity and realism. The three-position gain switch further extends functionality, with +10dB ideal for quiet sources and consumer interfaces, -10dB perfect for high-end preamps or loud sources, and 0dB providing the default output level.

Selectable polar patterns significantly impact the microphone’s sonic character and application. Cardioid focuses attention directly forward, making it perfect for vocals, while Figure-8 and Omnidirectional patterns capture room ambience and off-axis instrumentation for more natural recordings of acoustic guitars, pianos, and drums. The signal path features hand-populated high-resolution polypropylene capacitors, a US-made low-noise FET, and a custom wound output transformer that adds the finishing touch to every sound passing through its copper windings. The solid brass enclosure receives hand-polishing before being finished with a durable, non-toxic ceramic coating and oven-cured for lasting performance.
