Kramer Volante Electric Guitar (Defender Red) inc Gig Bag

Built for the modern shredder who demands both speed and precision, the Kramer Volante HHFR represents a new evolution in high–performance guitar design. Taking its name from the Italian word meaning “flying” or “light,” this instrument embodies the musical concepts of speed and fluid movement that define contemporary technical playing. The guitar features a lightweight alder body with thoughtful comfort carves for extended playing sessions, while the 3–piece satin maple neck utilises Kramer’s innovative Key Lock system developed by Senior Product Development Engineer Richard Akers.

The neck construction showcases serious attention to performance details, with a thermally aged maple build featuring Kramer’s fast Elliptical C profile and a compound 10–14” radius maple fretboard sporting 24 jumbo frets. The 5–bolt neck joint combined with the Key Lock system prevents movement in the neck pocket, significantly improving vibrational tone transfer, sustain, and intonation. A Floyd Rose® R3 locking nut and 1000 Series tremolo system maintain rock–solid tuning stability even under aggressive vibrato use, while the 25.5” scale length accommodates drop tunings perfectly.

The pickup configuration centres around a pair of Kramer USA Neptune humbuckers™ controlled by master volume and tone knobs plus a 5–way blade selector that offers remarkable tonal versatility. From series humbuckers to single–coil combinations and parallel wiring options, all five positions maintain hum–cancelling operation while providing distinct sonic characters. This modern Kramer maintains the brand’s legendary “Made to Rock Hard” attitude whilst incorporating all the features that today’s virtuoso players require, complete with a premium gig bag for protection during transport and storage.
