At the heart of the Volante HSGT’s performance lies its innovative construction and hardware. The three–piece, satin–finished maple neck utilises Kramer’s new Key Lock system, developed by Senior Product Development Engineer Richard Akers, which works alongside a 5–bolt neck joint to prevent movement in the neck pocket and maximise vibrational tone transfer. The thermally aged maple neck features a fast–playing Kramer Elliptical C profile, while the maple fretboard offers 24 jumbo frets with a compound 10–14” radius for optimal playability across all positions. The 25.5” scale length proves particularly well–suited for drop tuning applications.

The pickup configuration pairs a Kramer USA Neptune humbucker™ in the bridge position with a Kramer USA Triton Noiseless Pickup at the neck, controlled by master volume and tone controls plus a three–way blade selector. The tone control includes a push/pull switch for series/parallel switching of the bridge humbucker, adding tonal versatility to the instrument’s sonic palette. Premium appointments include Graph Tech® TUSQ® XL nut, Kramer Locking Die Cast tuners, and a 2–point tremolo system that maintains tuning stability even under aggressive use.
