Korg Volca Sample 2 Next Generation Digital Sample Sequencer

The volca sample stands as one of the most influential compact drum machines ever created, capturing the imagination of producers and beat makers across the globe with its perfect blend of portability and professional capability. This latest iteration builds upon the foundation that made the original so beloved, now featuring enhanced connectivity through a micro USB port, expanded sample memory, and a completely refreshed sound library alongside workflow improvements that streamline the creative process.

At its core, this machine packs serious punch with 8-voice polyphony, digital reverb, and a robust double filter system, all housed in a remarkably portable 372g unit that runs on 6 AA batteries. The hands-on approach shines through its array of dedicated knobs for sample manipulation, while the integrated speaker makes it perfect for standalone jamming sessions. When you're ready to integrate with your broader setup, USB, SYNC IN-OUT, and MIDI connections ensure seamless compatibility with your DAW, live rig, or other volca units.

The expanded memory now accommodates 200 sample slots – double the previous capacity – with 50 slots left empty at factory settings for your own content. Pattern storage has also grown from 10 to 16 locations, while the included library of 150 carefully curated samples spans contemporary genres including Future bass, Trap, and Lo-Fi hip hop. New features like pattern chain mode with dual STEP JUMP options and the start delay function for individual parts add sophisticated sequencing capabilities, while the dedicated Librarian software and AudioPocket iOS app make sample management effortless.
