Korg Poetry 88-Key Digital Piano w/ RH3 Real Weighted Hammer Action Keyboard (Brown)

Step into the musical world of Frédéric Chopin with the KORG Poetry, a remarkable digital piano that captures two legendary piano sounds intimately connected to the great composer. This exceptional instrument features the rare PLEYEL tone from the 19th century French piano that Chopin himself preferred, alongside a contemporary Italian concert grand piano used in the prestigious Chopin Competition held every five years in Warsaw. The PLEYEL sound, with its 80 keys faithfully reflecting the original instrument, can be set to 430 Hz pitch to reproduce the exact soundscape that resonated in Chopin’s mind during his creative years.

The Poetry showcases meticulous attention to both sound quality and craftsmanship, featuring high-quality samples from a vintage PLEYEL piano and the breathtaking, transparent tones of the modern Italian grand. Its elegant ‘Poetic Brown’ wood-grain exterior draws inspiration from Chopin’s gentle ambiance, while gold-adorned pedals contribute to the luxurious aesthetic. With a slender depth of just 26 cm (excluding the anti-tipping bracket), this instrument maintains a sleek profile and offers the convenience of a flat surface when the lid is closed.

The Real Weighted Hammer Action 3 (RH3) keyboard provides an authentic grand piano feel with weighted keys that mirror the heavier touch in the lower register and lighter response in the higher notes. This eco-friendly keyboard eliminates lead from the hammers while maintaining high continuous stroke performance for rapid passages. Key touch control allows customisation across five levels (light, standard, heavy, steady, and constant), enabling players to tailor the instrument to their individual touch strength. Manufactured entirely in Japan, the Poetry includes three essential pedals – damper, soft, and sostenuto – with half-pedal capability for enhanced musical expression.
