Korg Nu:Tekt NTS-2 Oscilloscope Kit

Musicians can now visualise their sound with the Nu:Tekt NTS-2 oscilloscope kit, a palm-sized DIY device that brings scientific precision to musical creativity. This compact 4-channel oscilloscope monitors both control voltage (CV) and audio signals, whilst also functioning as a waveform generator, spectrum analyzer, and tuner. Originally bundled with the acclaimed “PATCH & TWEAK with KORG” publication, the NTS-2 is now available as a standalone kit that requires no soldering and assembles in under 20 minutes.

The device excels at making synthesizer learning more intuitive by allowing musicians to see waveforms, frequency relationships, and control voltages in full colour as they patch and tweak their systems. Its 240 x 320 pixel 2.8” colour LCD display offers various viewing modes including Lissajous patterns for oscilloscope art creation. The dual stereo inputs enable simultaneous monitoring of up to four signals, whilst the dedicated FFT mode provides real-time spectrum analysis previously only available through expensive hardware or computer software.

Beyond analysis capabilities, the NTS-2 features two flexible oscillators with dedicated outputs that generate sine, square, triangle, sawtooth, pulse, and noise waveforms. These can function as audio sources, LFOs, envelopes, triggers, or control voltage generators, effectively expanding any patchable synthesizer’s capabilities. The dual stereo THRU/OUT ports maintain signal flow even when powered off, allowing permanent integration into studio setups without constant cable swapping.

Connectivity options include dual stereo inputs and outputs plus two separate generator outputs, making it ideal for modular and analog synthesizer users at any skill level.
