The KORG NAUTILUS redefines what musicians can expect from a performance synthesiser and workstation, combining nine powerful engines with extensive sampling capabilities, audio recording, and processing power that surpasses any other instrument in its class. Years of refinement across KORG’s digital, analogue, and hardware technologies have culminated in this extraordinary instrument that helps musicians forge a deeper connection with their sound. The NAUTILUS provides distinctive sounds ranging from phrase loops and prepared pianos to found percussion, alongside contemporary synths, drum kits, and special effects that complement today’s musical landscape.

Real–time control takes centre stage with the innovative DYNAMICS knob, allowing instant adjustment of volume and tonal response based on playing velocity, while six RT knobs provide direct manipulation of PROG and COMBI sounds including filter cutoff, effect depth, arpeggiator parameters, and drum track elements. These knobs can be pressed into the panel to lock settings and prevent accidental changes during performance. The completely redesigned user interface addresses the complexity that typically accompanies feature–rich instruments, offering four scenes of arpeggio patterns and drum track sets for seamless switching during improvisation or composition.

Set List mode organises all resources needed for songs or entire sets, with the TouchView display hosting 16 colour–coded touch–screen buttons that instantly recall Presets, Combinations, or Sequences across any mode. KORG’s Open Sampling System enables quick sampling of external audio sources or resampling of the NAUTILUS itself, regardless of the current operating mode, while the user sample bank extends the convenience of the EXs sample library to custom samples, utilising the instrument’s substantial SSD capacity.
