KORG's modwave module packs the full power of the acclaimed modwave mkII synthesiser into a sleek 19" desktop and rackmount format, bringing professional wavetable synthesis to any studio setup. Building upon the legendary DW-8000's foundation, this modern monster synth features incredibly deep wavetable oscillators, stunning filters, and wildly flexible modulation capabilities. The module maintains all the comprehensive pattern sequencing and hands-on control that made the original so popular, whilst offering unique, powerful, and easily customisable sounds and phrases.

The modwave module boasts an impressive 60 stereo voices of polyphony - nearly double the original modwave's 32 voices and an unprecedented number for any wavetable synthesiser in this class. Recent software updates have enhanced all LFOs with free running, delayed start, and retriggering options, plus added a pre/post switch for reverb sends and additional modulation sources. Full compatibility with sounds and samples from the original modwave, modwave mk II, and modwave native software means your existing libraries work seamlessly, along with excellent third-party collections.

KORG has thoughtfully designed the module for maximum versatility, featuring a redesigned panel that fits standard 19" racks with a recessed rear jack panel for easy cable access. Desktop users can choose from different bracket angles - flatter positioning for standing performances or more upright for seated studio work. With MIDI 2.0 Property Exchange support and easy Polyphonic Aftertouch access, the modwave module pairs perfectly with KORG's Keystage controller, making it an ideal centrepiece for modern production setups.
