The MicroKorg XL+ stands as the latest evolution in Korg's legendary line of compact synthesisers, building upon the foundation that made the original MicroKorg a benchmark for analogue modelling technology. This updated model retains the fat, powerful sounds that defined its predecessors whilst incorporating essential keyboard staples including electric piano and CX-3 organ sounds. The XL+ takes this legacy further with an expanded sound palette featuring vintage classics like the KORG SGproX piano, M1 and VOX organs, plus distinctive "Tape" instruments.

The instrument's design philosophy embraces both futuristic and retro aesthetics, with a striking black panel layout that evokes classic electric pianos.
