Korg CA-2 Chromatic Tuner for Brass Band or Orchesta

Musicians seeking precision and portability will find their perfect tuning companion in the KORG CA-2, a pocket-sized card-type tuner that combines accuracy with exceptional ease of use. The needle-style meter provides quick and precise pitch detection, whilst the note name and string name display area has been enlarged by approximately four times for superior readability. Red and green LEDs indicate pitch discrepancy, making the tuning process smoother and more intuitive than ever before.

Built for convenience and durability, the CA-2 features a comfortable rounded body with a stylish design that highlights the battery compartment. The innovative sliding mechanism allows for easy battery replacement without the risk of losing the compartment cover. Supporting an impressive range from A0-C8, this versatile tuner accommodates wind, string, keyboard, and other instruments with speedy, high-precision results.

The CA-2 goes beyond basic tuning with its high-sensitivity built-in microphone and compatibility with the separately available CM-200 contact microphone for direct vibration detection. For ensemble players, the meter scale includes special markings for pure major and minor thirds relative to a specified pitch, addressing the harmonic inaccuracies that are particularly noticeable in brass bands and orchestras. By tuning to these markings, musicians can achieve beautiful, pure harmonies that make ensemble performances truly shine.
