Professional audio networking reaches new heights with the DN32-DANTE expansion card, bringing up to 32 channels of bidirectional, networked audio directly to your Midas M32 or Behringer X32 mixing console. This sophisticated card enables seamless integration with Dante-enabled IP networks, utilising information technology standards to provide uncompressed, multichannel digital media networking with exceptional low latency and precise synchronisation. The widespread adoption of Dante across numerous pro audio manufacturers stems from its focus on flexible interoperability within existing IP network infrastructure.
The DN32-DANTE incorporates dual Gigabit Ethernet ports connected via an internal switch, allowing simultaneous merging of Ethernet remote control data for your console alongside bidirectional multichannel audio streams through a single cable. When both primary and secondary interfaces are connected, the secondary port functions as a redundant connection that automatically activates should the primary connection fail. For optimal performance, Dante requires Gigabit or 100 Mbit/s network infrastructure with QoS capable switches.
Advanced clocking capabilities are built into the DN32-DANTE card through its high-precision word clock, which can function as the clock master for both the Dante network and your console. Alternatively, your console can provide the master word clock that distributes throughout the Dante network. The system supports both Unicast and Multicast flows while enabling signal routing on a per-channel basis for maximum flexibility.
