The Kamaka HF3 Tenor represents the four–string configuration most favoured by professional players and touring performers across Kamaka's artist roster. Its expanded body dimensions deliver greater acoustic projection, while the extended scale allows fretboard access right up to the soundhole without sacrificing the rich, full–bodied resonance that defines premium solid koa construction. That figure–eight profile also opens the door to custom specifications, alternative timber choices and bespoke appointments that yield distinct tonal signatures.
Constructed entirely from Hawaiian koa, the HF3 ships with a purpose–fitted hardshell case bearing Kamaka branding throughout. The case itself uses vinyl–covered plywood construction with plush velvet lining, padded backing, and an arched lid that cradles the instrument securely during transport. An internal storage compartment accommodates tuners, cleaning materials, and small accessories. Factory options include a long–neck variant and slotted headstock configuration, both designed to expand the tonal and technical range of this tenor platform.
