This two-way 12-inch system from the PRX900 Series combines JBL’s most advanced acoustic innovations with a next-generation driver system powered by ultra-efficient Class D amplification, producing 2,000 watts peak power and 132 dB maximum SPL. The 912G 12” ferrite magnet woofer pairs with the JBL 2408H-2 1.5” poly-annular diaphragm compression driver to provide clarity and definition at maximum volume, while updated image control waveguides improve dispersion across a 90° x 50° pattern.
Professional DSP capabilities set the PRX912 apart from conventional portable speakers, featuring a comprehensive suite accessible through both an onboard colour LCD screen and the JBL Pro Connect app. The integrated dbx DriveRack technology includes live and fixed Automatic Feedback Suppression, soft system limiter with Soundcraft Overeasy option, and speaker delay settings up to 180ms in precise 100-microsecond intervals. A 12-band parametric EQ provides detailed system tuning and tonal control, while the G-Sensor Automatic Position Detect optimises performance based on main or monitor orientation.
Built for the demands of professional touring and installation, the PRX912 features a polypropylene/talcum composite cabinet with computer-modelled internal ribbing that increases rigidity while improving both acoustic performance and durability. Connectivity options include two XLR balanced combo jacks, 3.5mm auxiliary input, two XLR-M loop-through outputs, and one XLR-M mix out, all operating with ultra-low system latency under 1ms.
