The JBL PRX825W redefines portable sound reinforcement with its dual 15" woofer configuration and 1500-watt Class-D amplifier, creating a powerhouse that punches well above its weight class. This full-range speaker system combines two 380mm Differential Drive® woofers with a 2408H-2 neodymium compression driver mounted to a 90° by 50° horn, producing incredible volume levels whilst maintaining the same compact footprint as the PRX815W. The dual woofer design generates substantial low-frequency content suitable for most live music and playback applications without requiring additional subwoofers.

Built-in Wi-Fi connectivity sets the PRX825W apart from conventional powered speakers, allowing complete wireless control through the free PRX Connect mobile app for iOS and Android devices. Users can adjust volume levels, fine-tune 8-band parametric EQ settings, and apply up to 50ms of speaker delay from anywhere within the venue. The redesigned Crown input technology accommodates XLR, 1/4" and RCA connections with XLR loop-through capability, whilst the sensitivity switch provides flexibility to connect virtually any sound source directly without requiring a mixing console.

Construction quality reflects JBL’s touring heritage, with cabinets built from 25mm and 18mm poplar plywood reinforced with tongue-and-groove joints and protected by the tour-proven DuraFlex™ finish. Dent-resistant 16-gauge steel grilles and glass-filled nylon handles ensure durability, whilst M10 suspension points constructed from 14-gauge steel have been tested to a yield strength of 1000 lbs each. The intelligent variable-speed fan activates only when thermal management is required, reducing operational noise during quieter passages.
