This powered studio monitor combines the revolutionary Image Control Waveguide technology—originally developed for JBL’s flagship M2 Master Reference Monitor—with refined transducers to create stunning detail and precise imaging. The patented waveguide ensures acoustically seamless transitions between frequencies while providing an immersive soundstage with a broad sweet spot and neutral frequency response.

At the heart of the 308P MkII are acclaimed 3 Series transducers that have been enhanced for superior performance. The long-throw 8" woofer works alongside JBL’s patented Slip Stream™ low-frequency port to produce deep, accurate and tightly controlled bass response. Meanwhile, the woven-composite 1" Neodymium tweeter handles soaring highs with immaculate detail, now featuring faster transient response through fine-tuned ferrofluid damping and improved woofer design for greater low-frequency linearity.

Dual integrated Class D power amplifiers, custom designed for each transducer, provide generous dynamic range suitable for music production, podcasting, cinematic sound design and content creation. The 308P MkII also addresses real-world studio challenges with its Boundary EQ feature, which attenuates low-end boost when monitors are placed on desktops or near walls, plus a 3-position HF Trim switch for tailoring high-frequency response to room acoustics or personal preferences.
