Built for the demanding world of live performance, the JRX212 stands as a purpose-engineered twelve-inch, two-way speaker system that brings professional-grade stage monitoring to portable applications. This robust monitor combines JBL's proven acoustic engineering with practical design elements that working musicians and sound engineers rely on night after night.
At the heart of the JRX212 sits a JBL 12-inch low frequency driver featuring a 64 mm (2.5 inch) diameter edge-wound ribbon voice coil. This ribbon design provides significantly more cross-sectional wire area within the voice coil gap compared to traditional round wire configurations, resulting in enhanced efficiency and superior power handling capabilities. The high-frequency reproduction comes courtesy of JBL's 2414H-C 25 mm (1 inch) polymer diaphragm compression driver, which improves both high-frequency performance and overall system reliability.
The enclosure construction reflects JBL's commitment to durability and acoustic performance, utilising 19 mm (.75 inch) MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) with advanced adhesives and mechanical fastener technology. This approach ensures extreme durability whilst improving low-frequency response. The advanced network topology crossover design shapes the frequency response and achieves coherent summation in the crossover region, whilst the dual-angle pole-mount socket allows for 10° tilt adjustment to provide more uniform audience coverage.
