The Jackson X Series Spectra Bass SBX IV redefines what a modern bass guitar can achieve, combining innovative design with uncompromising performance for the serious musician. This neck–through–body instrument features an offset Spectra Bass body style crafted from nyatoh, with a larger upper horn that distributes weight evenly across the instrument for exceptional balance and playing comfort during extended sessions.
Built for speed and sustain, the graphite–reinforced through–body maple neck incorporates a scarf joint construction that maximises resonance and note clarity. The speed neck contour paired with a 12"–16" compound radius laurel fingerboard and 24 jumbo frets provides superior playability across the entire range, making complex passages and rapid runs effortless.
The SBX IV’s sonic capabilities are equally impressive, featuring dual passive medium–output humbucking pickups that provide punch, power and exceptional note articulation. Comprehensive tonal control comes via a two–way toggle switch for pickup coil splitting, 3–band active EQ, blend control, and a volume control with push/pull selector. This clever push/pull feature allows you to bypass the active circuit entirely, ensuring you’ll never lose sound due to a flat battery — simply pull the volume knob to switch to passive mode and keep playing.
