The Istanbul Agop Sultan China Cymbal redefines what a trashy accent should sound like, combining refined character with the controlled aggression that serious drummers demand. This 18–inch china stands apart from conventional options with its unlathed top band and bell, creating a darker, drier tone that cuts through the mix without overwhelming other elements. The unique construction enhances stick definition while producing warm, complex overtones that blend seamlessly with a crispy, trashy attack.
Built using traditional cymbal–making techniques in Istanbul, Turkey, this professional–grade instrument is crafted from high–quality B20 bronze alloy for exceptional durability and tonal consistency. The Sultan series design ensures quick decay and focused overtones, making it perfect for punctuating fills and transitions with precision. Its slightly darker and drier character compared to the Traditional series offers drummers a refined, complex sound that adds texture across various musical styles.
The versatility of this china cymbal makes it an invaluable addition to any drummer’s setup, functioning like a Swiss Army knife that provides just the right amount of flair without dominating the sonic landscape.
