From a 9–year–old apprentice in Istanbul's only cymbal factory to a globally recognised master craftsman, Agop Tomurcuk's remarkable journey spans over eight decades of cymbal–making excellence. Born in Istanbul–Turkey in 1941, Agop grew up in the Samatya neighbourhood following the path of his older brothers Oksant and Garbis into the ancient art of cymbal smithing. Today, the distinctive sound of Agop's cymbals resonates across stages and practice rooms throughout the world.
