The SRH500F redefines the semi-hollow bass with its impressive 55-mm-thick body construction, featuring a spruce top and mahogany back that maximises hollow space for exceptional warmth and rich acoustic resonance. Its Natural Browned Burst flat finish combines beautifully with wooden truss rod cover, wooden control knobs, and black matte hardware to create an authentically vintage semi-hollow aesthetic.
Built on the foundation of the classic SR shape, this instrument offers outstanding playability through thoughtful design elements. The special elbow cut on the body’s top provides enhanced playing comfort while adding visual elegance, whilst the contoured, deep neck joint allows effortless access to the highest frets. The extended fretboard in the lower register serves double duty as a convenient finger rest.
Factory-fitted with D’Addario ECB81 flatwound strings, the SRH500F produces enhanced warmth and resonant tones that complement its semi-hollow construction. The custom bridge incorporates the innovative AeroSilk Piezo system, working in perfect harmony with the flatwound strings to produce an airy, upright sound character. The 5-piece jatoba/walnut neck construction further contributes to both the instrument’s exceptional playability and distinctive tonal qualities.
