The Ibanez SR2600 CBB Premium represents the high–performance end of the SR series, pairing exotic multi–laminate neck construction with Nordstrand™ Big Single passive pickups and Ibanez's most sophisticated onboard EQ system. The Atlas–4 neck comprises 15 pieces of Panga Panga, Maple, Paduak, Purpleheart and Walnut reinforced with KTS™ titanium rods, delivering exceptional tonal clarity and note definition whilst maintaining the slim, fast SR profile. The Poplar Burl top over African Mahogany body provides visual drama alongside a resonant tonal foundation, housed in the included case.
Nordstrand™ Big Single pickups deliver the aggressive, full–bodied character of oversized single coils without sacrificing clarity, feeding a 3–band EQ with switchable mid frequencies at 250Hz, 450Hz or 700Hz. Each band offers approximately ±15dB of boost or cut: bass peaks at 20Hz, treble centres around 10,000Hz, and the selectable mid produces a focused bell curve. An EQ bypass switch converts the treble control to a passive tone pot for traditional operation. The MR5S bridge offers ±1.5mm string spacing adjustment across its 19mm standard spacing, whilst Gotoh® machine heads and Graph Tech® BLACK TUSQ XL® nut maintain tuning stability. The bound Panga Panga fretboard features 24 medium stainless steel frets with premium edge treatment, abalone oval inlays, and luminescent side dots.
