Ibanez RGDR4527ET NTF Prestige 7-String Electric Guitar (Natural Flat) inc Case

Ibanez has engineered the RGD series specifically to meet the demanding requirements of heavy metal guitarists who rely on down–tuned configurations. Traditional guitars simply cannot provide the responsiveness needed for extreme low tunings, which is why this instrument represents a purpose–built solution for modern metal playing.

The key innovation lies in the extended 26.5” scale length — a full inch longer than standard guitars. This carefully calculated extension optimises the rich, thick tonal qualities that down–tuning produces, whilst maintaining the fast neck feel essential for rapid soloing techniques. The scale length strikes an ideal balance, being longer than conventional instruments without becoming unwieldy.

Accessibility remains paramount in the RGD’s design philosophy. Extra–deep cutaways ensure comfortable reach to the highest frets, allowing players to fully utilise the entire neck without restriction. This thoughtful construction makes the RGD Ibanez’s ultimate metal machine for serious players.
